Right Place, Right Time
Meeting your children for the first time is a memorable moment, but it’s not often that the children remember it too!
While Justin and Garrett were busy doing arts and crafts at a match event held by nearby partner, Creative Clay, they had the opportunity to meet the people that would become their parents. In the midst of creative chaos, Justin and Garrett met their parents, Michael and Diane, who became their calm in the storm. They didn’t just leave with a handcrafted t-shirt and a canvas, they left with hope. Adults had talked to them about their day, their interests, and their dreams. Michael and Diane saw two boys who needed someone and hoped it would be them after spending an afternoon crafting and chatting with them.
Eight months later, Justin and Garrett left the courthouse on April 6th, 2016 knowing that they were going home – their forever home. The family looks back at their adoption journey grateful to have found people along the way to support them and shepherd them along the way. Now, they are proud to be looking forward to where their journey takes them. With a sense of fun, patience, and humor, we can’t wait to see where this new family is going!
